Ms. Ragona joined what is now known as the Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center, Inc. (ADRC) in February 2003. In 2011 Ms. Ragona moved the agency to a 9000 square foot facility, which houses The Mickey & Felice Neuwirth Care Center. In 2006 Ms. Ragona successfully launched a college accredited Alzheimer's Disease training program for professional Caregivers. This curriculum has trained more than 600 professional caregivers since its inception. ADRC recently constructed The Edward and Lois Memorial Alzheimer's Disease Research Library and ADRC's Serenity Garden, both of which are now open to the public. Ms. Ragona serves on Nassau and Suffolk Counties Long Term Care Council and is a member of the NYS Alzheimer's Disease Coordinating Council. Ms. Ragona has appeared on national TV including the NBC Today Show, as well as local TV including Long Island Talks and Family Comes first. She has also done numerous interviews on radio, including CNN. Ms. Ragona has been quoted extensively in Newsday, Long Island's most read newspaper, The New York Times, Suffolk Life, and Long Island Business News. In 1995 she was named Newsday's Newsmaker of the Week. In 2013 and 2015 Ms. Ragona received the Long Island Business News Healthcare Heroes Award for Community Outreach. Ms. Ragona graduated with distinguished honors from St. Joseph's College with a degree in Organizational Management and a minor in Human Resources Management, and received a Masters of Business Administration from LIU/C.W. Post College of Management and Business. Ms. Ragona has taught at St. Joseph's College and for the University of Phoenix Online Campus.
